His official name is Boy. I figured when I got him that I'd spend most of my time saying things like, "Come here, boy," or "Good boy!" so why not just call him "Boy" in the first place?

When Boy was a puppy, he couldn't walk through a room without knocking everything off every coffee table and bookcase he passed. That big fluffy tail was just too interested in wagging, and he was too exhuberant to worry about incidental destruction. He was so good at destruction, in fact, that I started calling him "Gozer the Gozerian." Remember in Ghostbusters how they had to choose the form of the destructor?

As they say in the movie, "Gozer the Traveler will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveler came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in he depths of the Sloar that day, I can tell you."

The form of the destructor that visited me was a beautiful, intelligent, mostly-chow puppy. So now his name is "Gozer Boy."
