12 October 2004 - Back in the Swing of Things

After a wonderful visit with family and friends in Denver and Omaha, we're back home. The boys had a great time seeing new people and places, and I got caught up on sleep a little bit.

Nicky's operation on Monday went very well -- he had no complications and everything is healing well. Zack stayed with Uncle Steve while I stayed at the hospital with Nicky on Monday night. I brought Nicky home this morning. He goes to the doctor in two weeks for follow-up, and has to stay quietly inside until then. I think having to rest will be harder for him than being in the hospital!

We're all a bit tired from the travel and the hospital stay, plus all three of us caught colds, but otherwise everything is going fine.
